We are looking for vendors that create and/or produce items in a way that embraces the idea of homesteading and self-reliance. If you can describe your items as do-it-yourself, using what you already have, produced at home, or handmade, we want you at our Expo!
The size and location of the Vendor areas are based on need and as determined by the Festival Committee. Set up is encouraged for Wednesday (10 October). Security is provided. |
We are looking for speakers that have experience in various topics relating to self-reliance and homestead building and maintenance. The fair committee is stressing proven, traditional self- reliance techniques, products, tools and equipment, but spiced with cutting edge modern technology to make the homesteader more successful. Please visit our tentative Event Schedule to see what topics we are currently looking for speakers for.
Four 20-feet by 40-foot tents will be used for the presentations. A sound system and computer will be provided. Slides or videos will be shown on 47-inch screen TVs, which are provided. You will be expected to present for about 45 minutes with a minimum of 5 minutes for questions. Please consider your audience when preparing a presentation--there will be individual adults, as well as families with children at the event, so prepare to connect with homesteaders of all ages! |
We are looking for demonstrators that can show how to perform different homesteading and self-reliance skills, from pioneers to preppers. So far, we have blacksmiths, soap makers, wine makers, and more. Anything that you can continually and repetitively demonstrate to groups as they come and go, and fits into the homesteading theme, will work. You may also have finished products to sell or sell what you make at the event, but keep in mind the point for this category is demonstrating your skill over selling your product.
The size and location of the Vendor areas are based on need and as determined by the Festival Committee. Set up is encouraged for Wednesday (10 October). Security is provided. |
